Meet the Principals

Dan was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil and lived in Lima, Peru during his high school years.  Lanny grew up in Los Alamos, New Mexico (the 'Atomic City') near Santa Fe.  With an international background, Dan traveled from South America to the University of New Mexico, where the Danenbergs met while Dan was earning his architectural degree and Lanny her B.A. in Education.

In addition to travels in Europe, South America and Japan, a number of years spent living and working in the Hawaiian Islands before moving to the Bay Area helps to lend an international influence to our work.  We both have a particular love of Japanese design.

Living and working in different parts of the world has also fueled our passion for the melding of unique materials and design elements.  Most of our projects will feature elements in glass, stainless steel (or other metals), warm woods and a complementary palette of natural stone.

History

Established in 1981

Dan Danenberg opened the first kitchen showroom to bring German cabinets to the Hawaiian Islands in 1981.  His showroom served the Hawaiian community until 1993.  After moving to the Bay Area, the Danenbergs decided to combine their talents and start a kitchen / bath design and home remodeling business together.  With almost 29 years total in the industry, the Danenbergs have completed hundreds of remodeling projects for clients and gained notoriety with their peers in the industry.  Their unique, one-of-a-kind designs have delighted clients and been published in numerous local and national publications, including Gentry, Gentry Design, California Home and Design, Sunset books and can be seen in the upcoming March / April issue of the trade publication K+BB magazine.  Visit their new website at www.DanenbergDesign.com and then call 650-291-0240 to request the free report entitled, 'Taking the mystery out of the Remodeling Process' and schedule a complimentary consultation in your home.
