Janta is one of our favorite restaurants and the best Indian cuisine. It is like dining in someone's home and the food is consistently fresh and authentic. No other Indian restaurant has come close to our satisfaction in Palo Alto.

I tried Janta with a friend this evening, It was a great authentic Indian Restaurant, The restaurant it self was very nice and unique, almost like you're eating in someones house. The service was excellent and friendly and best of all the food was amazing and affordable. We were the first people there at around 6pm and the place filled up quickly shortly after that. Something to consider depending on the time you're there. I will definitely be back.

There are a lot of Indian restaurants in the Palo Alto/Mountain View area, but Janta is still my hands-down favorite. Food is unmatched, nan bread is to die for, and the service is always good. Atmosphere is also really nice.
