There is a $25 donation fee to walk and $35 donation for the run. Walkers and Runners should register before the event online or can register the day of on site. All children under 12 participate free.

This special event is a unique and wonderful opportunity for individuals, community organizations, and businesses to walk in memory of a loved one…to walk to support friends, family or someone grieving the loss of a loved one.... and to secondarily help Kara sustain its crucial services for the greater Bay Area. Our goal is to see over 250 participants raise more than $45,000 for Kara's compassionate support programs. Please help us reach our goal and bring healing to the community. There is a $25 donation to walk and $35 donation for the run. After the Walk, a festival with fun games for kids and families will be available as well as delicious refreshments and a closing ceremony including prizes for different walkers and runners! It's time for our annual Spring Fundraiser! On Saturday, May 16th, please join us from 4:00pm-7:00pm at the Mitchell Park Community Center in Palo Alto for a special fundraising event to raise money for Kara's crucial services. Driven by empathy and supported with compassion, Kara provides grief support for children, teens, families, and adults. Your financial support helps us deliver hope and healing to the Bay Area.
You will have a one of a kind opportunity to participate in exciting silent and live auctions, enjoy great food and drink, live music, and dancing! We will have a special guest presentation by renowned children’s book author, Tiffany Papageorge. Her award winning illustrated book, My Yellow Balloon, has touched the lives of many through its beautiful illustration of love, loss, and letting go.
