About Us

The Palo Alto Host Lions Club is a proactive civic organization that has helped the people of Palo Alto and nearby communities since 1927.

In 1967, we organized and sponsored the first Palo Alto Concours D'Elegance, a classic car show which we use to raise money to help our communities. Over the years, the Concours has raised well in excess of $1,000,000 for local community organizations. In February, 2009, the Concours received the "Academy Awards of Lionism" trophy for the most outstanding public service project in Lions Multiple District 4, which includes more than 600 Lions Clubs in California.    Learn more about this award.

Profits realized from the Concours are used for chairty. Currently, we contribute to some 35 community organizations. To learn more about our work and the community organizations that we help, select the Charity link in the menu below.

Our club is relatively small, about 40 members, so please forgive us if we seem a little too proud of our accomplishment. If you are interested in becoming part of our family or simply want to know more about the Lions, contact one of our officers or click on the links provided below.
