About Us

The Midpeninsula Community Media Center helps local individuals and groups use the power of video, television and the Internet to inform, persuade, and build community. Our service area includes: Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Atherton. -- We offer workshops on video production in editing, field and studio production, as well as use of new media tools and classes on digital photo enhancement. -- Trained community members can rent our portable video equipment or use our modern TV studio with trained volunteer crews to produce non-commercial programs to run on our community cable TV channels. -- If you don't want to do it yourself, we offer an affordable team of professionals who can produce video productions for you, such as, web clips, training videos, live event coverage, public service announcements, or commercial or other messages for your own use. -- We operate five channels on Comcast Cable and stream our channels live from our website: www.midpenmedia.org -- Our focus on youth includes: Youth Advisory Council; Greenlight Film Festival; week-long summer camps; Internships; Youth Broadcast Collaborative with studios in each public middle and high school in our service area. -- Channels 26 & 29: Government Programs -- Channel 27: Arts, issues & entertainment -- Channel 28: Youth, education & sports -- Channel 30: Diversity, lifestyles & health -- We index and archive local government meetings and make them available by agenda item on the web. -- We partner with the League of Women Voters to produce election forums on all local races, indexing and archiving them for delivery on demand online.
