Summer Camp 2012
Description
SUMMER CAMP 2012
Summer fun at TheatreWorks Camp!
Grades K–8
What could be more fun than a camp run by professional actors, clowns, and comedians? TheatreWorks' talented teaching artists will help you create an original play with characters you've created. On the last day of camp, you and your friends will star in a showcase of all the amazing skills you've gained at TheatreWorks Camp!
In a typical day students rotate between classes that teach life-long performance skills. Our professional Teaching Artists are experienced and professionally trained performers and teachers who are eager to share their specialties of juggling, clowning, puppetry, playwriting, acting, improvisation, music, and dance. At the end of the day the entire camp gathers together to show off their freshly acquired skills, giving students time to relish in their new mastery of improvisation, the latest dance step, a scene they have just written or the character they have created.
Exploring the camp’s 2012 playwriting theme—LENDING A HAND—is sure to enlighten your young actor, playwright, or scenic artist.
